There are few rules to my site as I am a staunch First Amendment kinda guy, so feel free to comment any way on any thing.
There are, however, a few things I would like commenters to consider:
- The First Amendment means that just about anything can be said, but writers should show respect for all opinions and viewpoints. You may not agree with something, but please show the same respect to the person who holds that opinion as they should for your opinion.
- Expletives will not be prevented, like many, I appreciate a well-placed f-bomb. But people do need to understand that using expletives diminishes the force of the writer’s argument. I will not use them in posts.
- Racial epithets will not be tolerated and posts with them will be deleted. How can I be a First Amendment person and not allow racial epithets? There is absolutely no reason for them and it shows a lack of respect for everyone. Much like Oliver Wendell Holmes, I equate it to shouting fire in a crowded theater.
I want the site to be thought-provoking, fun, irreverent, and ultimately, allow people to look at the world from a new perspective.
As this is my site, I reserve the right to delete any post I want, or to ban any user that I want. I will try to delete or ban sparingly, if at all.
