What is my site trying to accomplish? Respectful and reasoned debate about correcting some of the ills that have befallen our country.
I keep hearing (especially from politicians) that “our problems are complex and they need complex solutions”. Well, that’s a load of…well, it’s wrong. Many solutions to our “complex” problems are simple: take government out of the equation.
I want to keep the site simple. When I post a blog I will categorize it so users can easily find specific blogs if they want. I won’t list the categories here because I expect the list to be somewhat dynamic and change as as I change and the readers change.
My goal is to post a thought or idea and have readers provide feedback in either support or opposition to my proposals. Readers are encouraged to offer their own ideas as well.
My hope is that, through reasoned debate, the reader community can gain a new perspective on how we should govern ourselves and carry that new perspective to the voting booth.
This is a “blue sky” site, which means all ideas are welcome. Feel free to comment on, oppose, or support any idea or comment. Do not criticize the person with idea, if you oppose an idea, then oppose the idea, not the person who has it. Please give all ideas respect and consideration, but above all, show respect for the people.
Many of the issues I will cover will be divided into several parts. I will generally have an overview page giving my general thoughts and then several parts detailing solutions to the issues pointed out in the overview. I did this not only for readability, but also, having several parts gives readers a chance to make pointed critiques of the individual parts I’m writing about rather than trying to reference lines, or paragraphs, within a large block of writing.
